Oracle Connection Passwords, decrypt & view in clear text (Toad) ***Solved

user6032647Aug 14 2012 — edited Sep 20 2013
Hi all
We are using Toad for Oracle to connect to our Databases, and I have about 50+ connections stored in Toad. I dont remember some of the passwords (they are only shown as ****) but I can still log on. Where are these passwords stored - are they kept in the oracle database in a "toad table"? Or is Toad storing them somewhere else? Is there any way how I can retrieve/recover the connection passwords?

Thanks,
Joe

Edit:
******* THANKS, DENNIS (see below) has answered my Question
There is an online tool which can convert and decrypt Toad for Oracle connection password files (connectionpwds.ini):

Hope this helps
