We have Oracle Concurrent User licenses, and the Oracle database is used only as the backend for SAP.
To determine compliance, should concurrent usage be measured:
- at the Oracle DB level (e.g., DB sessions), or
- at the SAP application level (SAP user logins / concurrency reports)?
Since SAP users connect to the application and not directly to the database, DB sessions don’t seem to map cleanly to actual users.
Looking for best practices or audit experience from anyone who’s dealt with Oracle concurrent licensing in SAP environments.
