We are building a cloud data warehouse using data from Oracle SCM Fusion Cloud 22d using Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) for data extraction using the BICC PVOs.
The design we have in mind is one BICC PVO per BICC Job to extract the data via the BICC PVOs. So if the data pipeline needs to extract 100 PVOs, we would submit 100 BICC Jobs (each job containing one PVO) using the Oracle ESS SOAP API to submit jobs, get the ESS schedule id for each job and then monitor the jobs to completion and download the PVO content from Oracle UCM.
Does anyone know if there is any limitation in submitting a large number of BICC Jobs (one job per PVO) to ESS and could ESS potentially have performance issues and start rejecting the BICC job requests?
Or would it be better to group PVOs in the BICC Jobs so extracting 100 PVOs could be grouped into for example 10 BICC jobs and 10 ESS schedules?
Has anyone experienced any sort of ESS limitations in terms of the number of jobs it can handle simultaneously?
