Oracle Application Server (OAS) 10g Installation Error

I am trying to Install OAS and while doing this I am asked in the "Register with Oracle Internet Directory (OID)" screen for the
Host name and the Port#
Based on the help screen in this Installation step , I enter the hostname and the Port# 389. I get the below message as error screen. Please advice what needs to be done and if I am missing any steps.
"Error Retriveing the port setting from the OID. Please ensure that OID ,its DB and listener are running, that it is configured to support SSL and non-SSL connections and that you have entered the hostname and the non-SSL port # correctly"
