Oracle APEX not starting

I have installed Oracle XE which supposedly also install APEX. In the configuration steps I specified port 8080 as it's port of operation, however I am unable to access APEX at all. I have checked firewalls as well.

I would like to know where I can locate the files of APEX as well as which services to check. Does APEX use Apache or something else? Prompt response will be much appreciated.
