ORACLE APEX 5.1 -Unable to reset text field value whiling passing its value to SQL using "Page Item

I am using a text field value to pull the records into a grid. but the value for that text field did not get reset even if i close the page and reopens it but got reset if i re-login . I did some test and I think it is because of "page items to submit" I mean When we send some value using it, that value got stuck there. So can you please help me in this.

Using APEX ORACLE 5.1
