Hi All,
I am facing an issue in connecting Oracle Analytics Desktop to a MySQL Server Running on my machine. Steps followed were as below :
1. Installed MySQL 8.0 CE
2. Installed OAD
3. Installed MySQL Driver - com.mysql.jdbc_5.1.5.jar
4. Tried Connecting the two with the below combinations
a. Host : localhost, IPv4 and 127.0.0.1
b. Port : 3306
5. For trouble shooting, we disabled the fire walls of two machines A & B, with A acting as the host and B Connecting to A. We were able to successfully connect to A from a MySQL Client residing in B.
6. Post step 5, we were able to connect to MySQL server of A with a Tableau Client residing in Machine B.
Further, we were also unable to connect with a Presto Hosted in AWS. Would appreciate help or best practices for resolving the above issues.
