oracle 9i installatuion hangs on naeet.o

ok, hi gurus!
i have the very annoying issue: the installation just hangs on 18% thinking of naeet.o

the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.21 didn't help, i also purged the /tmp/oraInstall - nothing..

i have RHSE3 64b and trying to instal Oracle9i amd64_db_9204.

please, help, THEY will tear me soon,
