Oracle 9i install on 64bit Enterprise 5 / RHEL5 / Centos 5

603437Nov 8 2007 — edited Feb 12 2008
Hi All. I see Oracle 9i is not supported on Enterprise 5, but I wonder if anybody got this right, yet?

The old trick that used to work on Enterprise 4 no longer works (using LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.21 before an install)

When I do this, it gives me the following error:
/bin/sh: error while loading shared libraries: libdl.so.2: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32

Without the workaround, it just gets stuck linking, like it used to do in enterprise 4 without the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL workaround.
