Oracle 9.2 client installation of a MS Server 2012 R2

2662353May 12 2014 — edited May 14 2014

Hi

Sorry if this isn't the place for my question, but here goes anyway :-)

We are testing Remote Desktop Services for a customer. The customer has an application (an old 32bit apllication) which needs the Oracle client. In their current 32bit environment they have the 9.2 client installed. We are testing on 64bit (Server 2012 R2 with Remote Desktop Services). I found an Oracle site mentioning that the latest client version isn't compatible with 9.2.

Does anyone have experience with the above or know if it's possible to make it work with a workaround?

Could I "just" copy the Oracle 9.2 installation folder from the 32bit installation to the same path on the 64bit installation and make the same environment variables?

Looking forward to all the replies :-)

Lasse
