Oracle 8i on win 2003 enterprise edition R2

Hi All,

We are trying to install oracle 8i (8.1.7) on windows 2003 sp2 r2 enterprise edition, but when we try to create database with dbca it gives error ORA-12560:TNS:protocol adapter error.

We have existing set up of oracle 8.1.7 on windows 2003 standard edition. which is working with no problem.

Is there is any compatibility problem in oracle 8i & win 2003 enterprise edition, kindly let me know.
Is there is any standard documentation available on compatibility of oracle 8i on windows.
