Oracle 8i on Redhat 8.0

Hi

I've installed Red Hat version 8 without any issues. When I start the ./runInstaller the message initializing Java Virtual Machine from ......please wait appears. After that nothing happens and the oracle universal installer doesn't start. I've been trying different solutions for a day now but nothing seems to help. Any hints for me?
