Oracle 8i client on developer6i Windows Xp prof machine

Hi,

Developer 6i is working on Windows Xp prof, now how do I install oracle 8i (8.1.7) client on the same machine. On another fresh machine I have done before, first installed oracle 8i client and then installed developer 6i on a Xp prof. i.e after renaming the symcjit.dll. But now I need to add imp/exp utilty which requires Oracle 8i client. The setup does not work. Is there a way out without de-installing developer 6i??

Can someone help me out..
