Oracle 8 Support

I would like to request that Oracle 8 support get added back into SQL Developer 1.5. At my company we use a large range of versions of Oracle, and the inability to access Oracle 8 is a problem. It is curious that the tool support MySQL and SQL Server databases but cannot support Oracle databases before Oracle 9R2. I suspect that Oracle 9R2 has more in common with Oracle 8 than it does with either MySQL or SQL Server.
