Oracle 8.1.7 on Dell poweredge 1600sc issue

I have migrate a 8.1.7 DB from a Dell precision 220 3 years old(Dual CPU pIII+800Mhz+392MoRAM+IDE disks)to a new poweredge 1600sc (dual CPU XEON 1.8Ghz 1GoRAM + SCSI disk 10K/min).
DB version is the same (8.1.7.2) on both and database are the same (recreated by full import on new box). InitOra file are the same.
It seems that all queries are faster on the old box than on the new one. queries are often 50% slower on the new than on the old.
I can't understand that and no efficient help comes from DELL support.
