Oracle 7.23 in a Netware SERVER

I am working in a NT 9.1 server using a XP workstation using ODBC. I must connect to another Oracle instance in a Netware server using version 7.23, simultaneously. If I install Oracle 7 client will I lose my actual configuration. How should I manage this ?
