Dusting off my collection of software I've accumulated through the last 3 decades. Many of these are original CDs and stiffies - even have an original unopened box containing IBM Communication Server for OS/2 Warp. I wore a lot of hats doing all kinds of o/s's, DOS/Novell/LAN Manager networking, system & app integration, and so on. Good times...
VirtualBox works very well reliving the past.
Have set up a Netware 4.2 server running IPX and TCP/IP. Looking at installing Oracle 6 on it (have Oracle 7 running on a NT4 server, and Oracle 9 on XP).
But without the "Getting Started" booklet, I'm not sure (running the Oracle 6 installer on a DOS Netware client), what needs to be installed on a Netware volume, and what needs to be local. Never did a Netware Oracle install - always wanted to. Fascinating installer though using an interesting macro language of sorts.
Any fellow old farts around that can give me non-null pointers? Will cut down time spend hacking and will be much appreciated.
thanks!
