I'm wondering what life cycle support Oracle 18C XE has on Windows platform. If one had a setup.exe that, as part of it's application installation, should also install/upgrade Oracle XE would that be possible?
I've noted that MSI seems to the thing for such cases, but Oracle 18c XE is a setup on it's own. We've managed to install Oracle 11R2 XE, but it would appear to be impossible to uninstall without end-user interaction
due to it requiring UI mode for uninstall (otherwise all kind of things seem to be left installed).
1) Can you confirm that Oracle 11R2 XE can not be uninstalled unattended but requires user interaction from e.g. the control panel?
2) Can you confirm that Oracle 18C XE can be installed/uninstalled unattended without end-user interaction?
