Oracle 12c RAC asmcmd not returning any result

Hello All,

I am currently working on Oracle 12c RAC, and i wanted to run asmcmd command in it. When i executed command no result returning.

[oracle@RACN1 ~]$ export ORACLE_SID=+ASM1

[oracle@RACN2 ~]$ asmcmd

ASMCMD> lsdg

ASMCMD> ls -l

ASMCMD>

Then i tried connecting with sysasm and got below error.

SQL> conn sys/password as sysasm

ERROR:

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

As i am not dealing with RAC much and installation of this RAC done by third person and he already left.

Not sure how to troubleshoot and fix this issue.
