Oracle 11gR2 Installation on Solaris 10 x86

User12620211-OracleJan 13 2012 — edited Jan 16 2012
Trying to do an install of Oracle DB 11gR2 on a Solaris 10 03/05 x86 system. It is complaining about needing Solaris 10 Update 6 (believe that is Solaris 10 10/08). Form the install guide I see that it requires me to have Solaris 10 Update 6. Is there a way to patch Solaris to the appropriate level? I assume the answer is "no" and that I need to do an upgrade? The part of the installation script that is doing the pre-install check must be looking at /etc/release or ??

Thanks
