ORacle 11g RAC on AIX LPAR
Hi Experts,
We are planning to set up a datacenter with RISC machines, ORacle 11g database, AIX 6.1 OS.
In the thought process about the architecture, one of the options was to use LPARS ( to reduce cost of oracle licenses)
Pl tell me
1. Complexity of the architecture
2. Availability - we plan for dual VIOS. What other points of failure can occur
3. Scalability - if we move on to higher version of oracle in future, migration efforts involved, any changes in cluster interconnect etc.,
4. what happens if there is failover condition ?
5. Any other causes for concern
