Abdul MoyedJun 14 2013 — edited Jun 14 2013

Dear all,

Yesterday i am installing Oracle 11g R2 ASM on windows server 2008 i use following steps to install.

1.installing windows 2008 server stand with os partition of 50gb.

2.I created 8 RAW partition of size 50g for ASM installation.

3.Next I Install Oracle 11g R2 Software only.

4.After that I Run asmtoolg from ORACLE_HOME\bin path.

5.I label all 8 drive using asmtoolsg.

6.Now i run dbca create db using ASM disk.

But DBCA unable to find ASM Group due this i unable complete database installation. Previously in Oracle 10g it's gives option to configure ASM group.

I am search on internet they told me use ASMCA to configure ASM group but when i run on command ASMCA   it show command not found I also check in ORACLE_HOME\bin directory there is no any asmca(ASMCA missing) .

I am also try localconfig add it show same problem command not found I also check in ORACLE_HOME\bin directory

Kindly Help and guide me resolve this issue thanks in advance..............
