Oracle 11g Enterprise Server install and Character Set/Code Page Question?

Hello All,

I have Oracle 11g installed on Windows OS (Windows 2008 Server)

I know by default when we install Oracle 11g Enterprise Server we get WE8MSWIN1252 as default character set. During the install there is an option to choose UTF-8 encoding. Ihave chosen UTF-8 encoding and finished the installation and still on quering we see the encoding to be WE8MSWIN1252. Did anyone see this problem before or is there anything I am missing to explicitly make the encoding to be other than WE8MSWIN1252?
