Oracle 11g Enterprise Manager

I am new to Oracle but I have installed the database/server but my EM is not loading correctly it doesn't ask a password either.

Agent Connection to Instance
Status Failed

Details ORA-12505: TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach)

How do I fix this to get it to load correctly.
