Oracle 11g and Anti Virus software

902826Dec 5 2011 — edited Dec 7 2011
I installed Oracle 11g about two weeks ago.

Since then I have been getting non stop messages from my anti virus software saying:

detected suspicious behavior
oracle RDBMS Kernel Executable
C:\Oracle_home\bin\oracle.exe
action selection according to the settings
allowed: PDM.DNS.Query

I get these messages regardless of what I'm doing, even if I'm not using Oracle.

I also have started have problems with my computer freezing. This happens quite often. It wasn't happening before I installed Oracle. When It freezes I can NOT do a control alt delete, I have to force a shut down.

I have windows 7 and use either internet explorer 7 or mozilla. The anti virus software is Kaspersky
There is over 400 gb of free space and 3 gb of RAM

Has anyone seen anything like this before?
