Oracle 10g with 11g Grid Infrastructure

Is it possible to use a 10g database with a 11g R2 Grid Infrastructure ?

In 10g/11g R1 RAC with Clusterware were one download - and then the DB with ASM were the other.

Now one download is Clusterware with ASM - and the other is RAC with the DB.

After the 11g R2 infrastructure install you would not have RAC so how would one proceed ?

Thoughts , ideas and insults greatfully recieved.
