Oracle 10g Spatial Installation

Hello everybody,

I´m running Oracle 10.2.0.4 under SLES 10. I´m trying to install Oracle Spatial supplementary to a running system.
My question: Do I have to start the database in restricted mode for installation?
Or is it possible to install Oracle Spatial when the users are working with the database?
