Oracle 10g remote connection

Hey guys,

I am an oracle novice and I have recently installed oracle 10g and SQL developer on my home computer. I have also installed SQL developer on my work computer hoping that i can connect to the database on my home pc and run queries. However after thousands of trials and internet search I have come to realize that it is not an easy task and i am wondering if anybody has an idea of how i can connect to the database on my home computer from my work pc using oracle SQL developer .
