Oracle 10G and Oracle 12C Installation

santhosh TJun 2 2016 — edited Jun 2 2016

Dear Experts,

Could you please suggest me with the Database Installation in my new PC with Windows7 64bit.

Requirements : I would like learn/practice on Oracle 12c(in my local machine), but where as in my office, the application development tools (like Toad9) will supports only Oracle 10g (client/database).

Should I Install, first Oracle 10g ( for toad support) and then install Oracle12c for my local practice with help of sqlplus and SQL Developer or the other way.

Oracle 10g (Client / Database) with Toad - is My Job Requirement.
Oracle 12c ( Database) with SQL developer 4.1 - is my learning purpose.

Please suggest me, how can I go with the installation in this case.

Thanks,
