ORA-936 after export/import

131317Jun 17 2008 — edited Aug 15 2008
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has seen this ORA-936 error in Discoverer. We get this error frequently when running workbooks. WHen I show the SQL of a workbook, it will be missing a whole section of the where clause. It generates invalid SQL, and then throws a ORA-936.

This error is usually reproduced when I export from a test environment, and then import into production. For example:
1) modify a folder in test environment
2) export (.eex) from test environment
3) import (.eex) into production.
4) any reports that use the modified folder will now be giving a ORA-936 error

Although I have been working with different Oracle products for some years, I'm new to Discoverer. I am not sure of the nuances within this product.
Has anyone ever seen this? Is there a better way to promote folders to production?

Thank you for reading this,
Tim
