ORA-3136 in alert log
497150May 26 2007 — edited May 27 2007I'm running oracle 10.2.0.2 on aix5L 64b.
In the last week or so I have a couple of warnings in the alert log as follow:
Mon May 21 13:03:32 2007
WARNING: inbound connection timed out (ORA-3136)
I have seen this message before on a small server attacked by hundresd of users, but it has always been in the listener.log - never in the aler log.
Is there any difference for 10.2.0.2 version on how and where these errors are displayed?
I read the metalink Note:345197.1 and the related docs, but It is not clear to me if there's a difference between this message when shown in the alert and listener logs? Are there different solutions based on that?
