ORA-30926: unable to get a stable set of rows in the source tables

490768Apr 23 2007 — edited Apr 23 2007
My goal is to load a Products (sku) dimension SCD nightly but have recieved the above error. I performed a first time load of the dimension with 390,000 rows. Everytime since, I am the recipiant of the 30926. I have tried the following:

1. Removed duplicates from the source, which is a view that sources 3 stage tables and performs a union. Added indexes to the 3 tables.

2. Identified the duplicate dim keys and deleted from the underlying cubes and dimension.

3. Changed the mapping to Set based failover to row based, but this takes 15 hours to complete and is not acceptable for 6 hour update window.

4. Added a dedup to the mapping.

5. Set mapping to Set based only, it throws the error and fails at 230,000 rows.

Troubleshooting
1. Checked WB_RT_ERRORS table but it does not detail what row the mapping fails on.
2. Attempted a debug, but with sizable rows, this is difficult.
3. Searched forum for options, and tried them all.

It is possible we still have a many to many situation.

1 parent 1 child
1 parent 2 child
2 parent 1 child

I think this is not condusive to SCD dimensions?

any suggestion would be greatly appreciated since the skus are at the core of reporting and BI for our company.
