ORA-29294: A data error occurred during compression or uncompression.

Hello,

I am trying to unzip a blob that seems to contain a zipped XML.

Below is my query:

SELECT

utl\_compress.lz\_uncompress (UTL\_RAW.CAST\_TO\_RAW(dbms\_lob.substr(BLOM\_COLUMN) ))

FROM

TABLE\_NAME\_HAVING\_THE\_BLOB\_COLUMN

WHERE

ID= '17';

I get the error: ora-29294.

                    ora-06512: sys.utl\_compress

The main blob actually looks like this
