ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address

hi
I have an email sending mechanism on an apex site and it is very tempramental.

It used to work consistently, then it has stopped working.

I have been testing this morning to try and find why and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

I took one email address out of the distribution list and it started working, worked about 3 times and has now stopped again with the same error.

I can change the distribution list and it will work a few times.

Anyone have any ideas?
