ORA-27102: out of memory in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (i586)

FacundoAug 31 2009 — edited Jul 11 2011
Hello, I have the ORA-27102 error in a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (i586) with 32 bits, with a Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 Database.

The kernel parameters are:

kernel.shmall = 268435200
kernel.shmmax = 4294967295

and the kernel version is:

Linux db-r2-01 2.6.16.46-0.12-bigsmp #1 SMP Thu May 17 14:00:09 UTC 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

If this error appear RedHat 4 it would be fix updating the kernel to hugemem version as explain the DOC ID 746178.1 of Metalink. But in Suse I haven“t idea.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.
