ORA-27100 shared memory realm already exists

hi,

I tried to change the SGA memory and on apply the changes it ask me for shutdown the database for making permanent changes through OEM. while shuting down process it hangs for a long time. I shutdown the database with abort command and from than i am recieving this error:

ORA-27100 shared memory realm already exists

Kindly advice.
