ORA-26026: unique index initially in unusable state

762597Mar 25 2010 — edited Mar 25 2010
Hi,

We are having two tables with a particular column "lob" VARCHAR2(3 BYTE) which has been changed to VARCHAR2(5 BYTE). We droped the table and recreated the associated INDEX

Before chaging the column size of LOB , procedure sync_gfa_static was working fine

When we run the procedure sync_gfa_static, which is supposed to insert the rows into the table for which the lob filed size was changed.

In this procedure First we are making the index as UNUSABLE.
Second we are inserting the data.
Again we re-enable the index.

Before chaging the column size of LOB , procedure was working fine

it is giving the below error.

ORA-26026: unique index FINREADONLY.UK_GFA_COMBINATION_INX1 initially in unusable state
ORA-06512: at "FINREADONLY.GL_INTF", line 947
ORA-06512: at line 2

Please help us

Thanks in advance
