ORA-14323: cannot add partition when DEFAULT partition exists

I am getting the captioned error while trying to add a new list partition.
CREATE TABLE MBR_PROV_GRP
(
MBR_PROV_GRP_AGN NUMBER(15) NOT NULL,
ID VARCHAR2(50 BYTE)
)
PARTITION BY LIST (CUSTOMER_ID)
(
PARTITION P87726 VALUES ('87726'),
PARTITION PDEFAULT VALUES (DEFAULT)
);
Please help me in this regard.
