ORA-12637: Packet receive failed

Hi,

I am running Oracle 9i R.2 on Windows 2000 on server. All of clients are able to connect to database but few who are receiving this error ,

ORA-12637: Packet receive failed

Ps: I am able to tnsping my service successfuly.

What could be the cause & any suggestions on how I can resolve this.
