ORA-12574

When doing the Oracle net conf. asst. test to see if oRACLE can be connected , test fails and error is TNS LISTENER COULD NOT RESOLVE SERVICE_NAME GIVEN IN CONNECT DESCRIPTOR. tSET DID NOT SUCCEED.
Please help....help.
