ORA-12157: TNS:internal network communication error

Hi All,

Iam facing this problem in my 10.2.0.4 database.

while running an application in database it throwed this error.

OCI ERROR code 12157: ORA-12157: TNS:internal network communication error
on 11/21/2008 09:37 for application ReportDistribution as ReportDistribution/3AN4K39I2K5xq5IE8fKu@AMPMED.DATASRV

Recently in tns entries hostname is changed to ipaddress. is this the reason for error.

Please advise.
