I had followed these suggested steps -
copy the \network\Admin files (ldap.ora, sqlnet.ora, tnsnames.ora) to the new 10.2.0 client's \network\Admin path. Close off Visual Studio, re-open it and try again.
It helped me little. As earlier I was not even getting Data Source Name - (Local Database) name in dropdown (in my case its RBI). Now I'm getting atleast RBI in the dropdown. I had entered all necessary details as - Username - SYS / SYSTEM with correct Password and Role as default / SYSDBA. Tried all possibilities.
I do not understand where I'm going wrong. I have VS2008 with ODAC 11g Beta 11.1.0.7.10
I could not locate my LDAP.ORA file. Is it anyway required for this connectivity?
Please guide and help me. Two days I have already spent over this issue. Now getting frustrated.
