ora 08103 object nolonger exists

Hi all,

I have a situation wherin I am getting count(*) , desc of a table but when I try to create index on table I get ORA 08103 error... no idea why it says "object no longer exist"...

I am on 10.2.0.4.4 Linux

Please guide me how to look into it.
