ORA-04043 and IBM Infosphere Guardium

user9241553Sep 22 2011 — edited Sep 25 2011
One of my clients is running Guardium and is seeing a lot of these errors thrown (Guardium, from what I understand, is a network sniffer geared towards these type of activities). Due to the number of errors thrown the app in question should not be able to run if they are real errors. They (and I) need to understand why these are being thrown and the application still runs. I've noted that this can happen in other posts on the net but there was no answer (04043 thrown but procedure is executed correctly).

The objects are procedures and packages and are available to the app via public synonyms. I know Oracle looks in the users name space first and then the public synonym name space...but would not think that it would throw an error if it was not found in the users name space before looking in the public name space.

Help!
