Hi Everybody,

Oracle Version: 8i
OS: Solaris 9

When i am trying to log into the database server locally using 'SYSDBA' previeledges its giving me the following error...

ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 2
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4200 bytes of shared memory ("shared
pool","TRIGGER$","sga heap","state objects")
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4200 bytes of shared memory ("shared
pool","unknown object","sga heap","state objects")

Do i need to Increase the SHARED_POOL_SIZE parameter manually ............

But even after doing so i need to restart the database ...but since i am not able to log in how am i suppossed to re-start the database..............

Any help appreciated...

Regards,
Prosenjit Mukherjee
