ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4096 bytes of shared memory...

Dear All,

We get the below error.

ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4096 bytes of shared memory ['shared pool','begin xxxpackage.va...", "PL/SQL MPCODE" , "BAMIMA: Bam Buffer")

Search in Internet it suggest that I can try to increase the shared_pool_reserved_size and shared_pool_size. I want to know how to estimate how much should be added. I'm using Oracle 8.1.7.
