ORA-02074: cannot SET SAVEPOINT in a distributed transaction

Hi i'm using the ODP.net to access a third party database and i get the following error when calling one of the store procedure

ORA-02074: cannot SET SAVEPOINT in a distributed transaction ORA-06512.

I have had a look at there documentation and the store procedure creates a savepoint, is there any way to get around this as i cant not edit the store procedure
