ora-02055:distributed update operation failed;rollback required

When i try to post some data from one server to other server through dblink, I get a following error, How to fix this one?

ora-02055:distributed update operation failed;rollback required
ora-02049:timeout:distributed transaction waiting for lock

Oracle Version : 10g R2.
OS : Windows Server 2003
