ORA-01950 no privelages on tablespace

I created a database mynewdb with DBCA, logged in as sysdba and started up the instance, I then created a new user prashanth and granted him various privelages shown below. But when I try to run a perl script that connects and tries to create a test table ora-01950 gets thrown.
my instance ORACLE_SID=mynewdb . What would be the default table spacename for this instance and how do I grant access this default tablesapce to prashanth.
