ORA-01841: (full) year must be between -4713 and +9999, and not be 0

Hi All,

Here column1='Check:123'

select TO_CHAR(TO_DATE(SUBSTR(:column1,1,10),'YYYY/MM/DD'),'DD-Mon-YYYY')

from dual

getting below error

ORA-01841: (full) year must be between -4713 and +9999, and not be 0

Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production

Please help me on this, how to resolve this error.
